Purchasing Assistant

Kelly Services is currently recruiting for 4 contractors to support our clients Market Engagement Process initiative. Our client is a well knowl, globally recognized medical device company.
This entails performinbg various clerical work,. i.e. retrieve product specification (drawings, materials specs, test methods etc.) information from our Product Lifecycle Management system for the part numbers in scope of the MEP effort. This position will involve a lot of work within a Document Management System ( Adaptive ) and Microsoft Excel ( spreadsheets) .

This opportunity is slated to last 2 to 3 months, potentially longer with some future opportunities based on performance. The starting rate will be at least $18.00 hourly, potentially more depending on experience and overall fit to the position.



EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

High School Graduate or Equivalent (required).
Minimum of 3 years of transactional and/or administrative experience in operations, quality, or finance
A background and knowledge of "bill of materials" a plus
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Understanding of Regulatory and Quality requirements in the medical device business is a plus.
Experience using Product Lifecycle Management system and document management system is a plus
Strong Organizational and Communication skills are required.
Possess good initiative and teamwork skills as well as a strong eagerness to learn
Proven track record of successfully taking on new challenges and more responsibility

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Identify and retrieve product and material related specifications from ADAPTIV Product Lifecycle Management system as directed to support Market Engagement Process initiative
Compile and centralize retrieved information into consolidated databases as defined by project scope
Attend and support project meetings as required by project manager
Manage share point and compile product specifications as defined by project scope
Partner with key stakeholders to address any clerical or admin issues related to the project
Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks with varying degrees of complexity
Perform administrative and clerical tasks as assigned to support procurement activities

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
